Andrey Cherkasov was born in 1957 in Moscow, Russia. In 1981 he graduated from the Surikov Academy of Art where he studies Murals and Monumental Art. His works include a number of murals and monuments which are still to be seen in many cities of the former USSR. In 1990, Andrey Cherkasov faced with the economic problems of new Russia made the decision to return to working in Ceramics. He soon realized that working with Ceramics provided the best opportunities for exhibiting his talent and creativity. He currently lives in Moscow. He is the member of Union of Russian Artists.
