Marian qualified
as a teacher at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham, Wiltshire in 1965.
She began painting
professionally in the eighties, concentrating on botanical subjects and becoming
a member of the Society of Botanical Artists ( SBA) in 1988.
In 1992 her first
miniature paintings were accepted for exhibition by the Royal Society of
Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers.(RMS)
She was made an
Associate member in 1993 and a full member in 1998. In 2010 Marian accepted
responsibility for the Society's Diploma Collection and in 2011 was made a Vice
President.
