Skadi came to England in 1991 and having always had an interest in miniature paintings attended a miniature painting exhibition in Bath in 1997 where the art of miniature painting was being demonstrated. Not knowing that form of painting was still practiced she took up the challenge of painting them herself, concentrating primarily on portraits.

Over time she has submitted her paintings for exhibition in a number of Societies an is now a member of :-

Associated member of the Royal Miniature Society (ARMS)

The Society of Limners (S.Lm)

The Miniature Art Society of Florida

Exhibits in the World Federation of Miniaturists

She has received a number of Awards for her work including;

S.Lm Exhibition - 2005 Chairman's choice award for "Portrait of a Lady"

2006 Best in show for "The Fishmonger"

2010 The Brian Bull award for "Peeping Tom"
