Kate has a First Class Honours Degree in Art History and Philosophy of the Arts.

Her Miniatures reflect her passion for nature, inspired by her mature garden and wildlife pond.

In addition to botanical and wild-life studies, Kate works in Still Life and Portrait genres. Landscapes of her beautiful Georgian home town of Richmond, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, have many collectors.

Working solely in her favoured medium of watercolour, strives to produce work which has depth, strength and drama. Whilst the botanical painting is scientific by definition, her original painting style seeks to capture a heightened realism showing the beauty of everyday objects in dramatic atmosphere and light.

Kate exhibits annually at the Mall Galleries and Central Hall, Westminster. She has had many successful solo exhibitions and hangs in private galleries. Her collectors, at home and abroad, are numerous.
